Ora Cat vs VW ID.3: Could the Ora Cat be the Purrfect Electric Car to Beat the ID3?

Nowadays, it seems everything is made in China, whether it’s a bell tent or a cow bell. The Chinese have been making some great strides in electric cars, introducing MG some of the most popular brands to the electric party. The Ora Cat looks set to further invade the electric revolution, but is it a purrfect introduction? Or will it induce a cat nap?

Tough Competition?

The Ora Cat is a competitor of the VW ID.3, costing nearly £10,000 less than the traditional favourite! However, it’s much more trendily styled and better equipped; they know that alloys should be standard on any car! The GT version is incredibly sporty, with carbon touches and red brake callipers, a rear spoiler, and looks that perhaps flatter falsely. 0-60 in 9 seconds, not slow by petrol standards, but pedestrian by EV standards.

The Space is Fantastic

It’s similar to the ID.3, although the ID.3 probably has more rear headroom. Both have some great interior touches, but the Ora Cat is much quirkier. Traditional or quirky will probably dictate which you prefer, but if you removed the badges, it would be hard to believe there was a £10,000 price difference between the two!

The Ora Cat will come out very early 2022. We expect it to cost under £300 a month via salary sacrifice; That’s a bargain price for an experience that will certainly leave you feeling like the cat that got the cream!
