The Government will be replacing the existing Childcare Voucher Scheme with a Tax Free Childcare Scheme, inevitably there will be some winners and losers!

The key message you need to remember of is that once the new Tax Free Childcare scheme is launched no new entrants will be able to join the existing scheme, this means that valuable employees NI savings could be lost or worse still the opportunity to save anything on childcare if one parent does not work. Of course the new scheme has advantages, for example 2 parents who both work and require full time child care will usually be better off but essentially Employers only have until August 2015 to join the current childcare voucher scheme and to enrol employees for whom it may be much more beneficial.

The current Childcare Voucher scheme offers significant savings for both the employer and employee. Employees can make up to £933 savings a year, whilst Employers enjoy savings of up to £402 for every employee within the scheme.
