Electric Cars Coming To The Market In January

The EV market is forever evolving and so we thought we’d make it a little easier for you this January by showing you what electric cars are coming to the market throughout the upcoming months. As for now we will be updating you with January’s releases and dry January has maybe correlated into the EV world too with only real releases being from BMW and Polestar but we’ll get to that below.

BMW i7

As most of us know BMW never skimp on power and the i7 is no exception. This all-electric version of the popular seven series provides 536 bhp and 549 lb-ft from dual motors. This provides a 0-62mph of 4.7s and a top speed of 149mph. Its range is equally impressive as it offers up to 388 miles on a single charge. However the good news doesn’t stop there, in fact, BMW has teased the release of an even bigger spec variant. The i7 M70 xDrive60 variant is set to join the line-up in the middle of 2023, with almost 600bhp on tap! All of this from £110,545, it is pricey but you certainly won’t be disappointed.

Polestar 2 BST Edition 270

The Polestar 2 will gain a track-focused overhaul this month, with chassis upgrades and ramped-up performance. Polestar has described it as its “most dynamic electric driver’s car yet”, with 469bhp and 502 lb-ft, making for an insane 0-62mph sprint of 4.2sec. It’s also been lowered 25mm, while Öhlins dampers and 20% stiffer springs bolster dynamics further. Just 40 of Polestar’s rapid executive EVs will hit the UK, so getting your hands on one won’t be easy. Coming with a base price tag of £68,990, this EV really is great value for money.

The Costs

In terms of costs, we’re here to help. It’s no secret that electric cars often come with a hefty price tag, but through salary sacrifice, this makes getting your hands on one up to 40% cheaper compared to retail (TCs and C’s apply). The positives don’t stop there either, as salary sacrifice means you can save on tax and NI too, everyone’s a winner! So what are you waiting for?
