Car of the Month October: The MG4 | Sub-£350 Offering!
That’s right, we’re starting a new mini-series talking all about our Car of the Month! Each month, we’ll choose our favourite car, it might be new, it might be cheap, it might even be a car we know nothing about the arrival of… We’re looking at you, Rivian! Hopefully, you’ll enjoy our recommendations, and especially enjoy October’s Car of the Month… the MG4!
MG’s next electric instalment is the MG4, which is turning out to be one of the cheapest cars on our scheme; it really packs a punch for what it costs – that’s why it’s our car of the month! We’re excited to talk about this one because it’s on the cheaper side of things; well, besides the jaw-dropping, magnificent, life-changing Citroen Ami! From just £320/month, the MG4 has a great set of skills.
MG4 Standard Range

MG4 Long Range
- From around £350/month. Insurance not included but can be built in.
- 215 miles range (EV Database)

- 0 – 62mph in 7.9 seconds
- Top speed of 99mph
There is also a Trophy model, which has a retail price of £31,496 and an estimate salary sacrifice figure of £370/month (insurance not included). It has similar stats to the Long Range but sports an alleged 280 miles range (reported by MG, so we always question it…).
The MG4 will come in a great range of colours: Arctic White, Holborn Blue, Black Pearl, Camden Grey, and Dynamic Red. If you go with the Trophy Long Range, you also get the option of Volcano Orange. Nice and fiery! Unfortunately, the green version of this car doesn’t seem to be available for us – we’re sad too, but the other colours on offer will do just fine!

As you can see, it’s a pretty sleek automobile; we think it’s one of the better looking in the MG electric family, don’t tell the ZS though… It’s available to order now but delivery is expected to take place in Q1 2023 (subject to change with demand).
