Should I Go Electric?

We thought the cold weather and dark nights were almost behind us until the snow came! Waking up extra early before work to stand outside and defrost the car for 10 minutes is not ideal. Not to worry, having an electric car means you can defrost and warm up your car from the moment you wake up simply by using your app! Not only will this save you from standing around in the cold, but it also saves your time, giving you a cheeky lie-in if you fancy it. If you’re still wondering “should I go electric,” keep reading for more reasons why you SHOULD go electric!

EVs are 3x Greener

Transport and Environment have created a tool to compare the vehicle types, and their research has shown that electric cars are up to three times greener than petrol or diesel alternatives. No harmful emissions are released into the atmosphere when an electric car is driven or standing idle defrosting in the morning; petrol and diesel cars rely on fossil fuels to run, whereas electric cars don’t. Instead, they use electricity that is largely produced from renewable sources!

Electric Cars are Clearly the Greener Option

Let’s be honest, it’s no secret at this point. From the moment electric vehicles hit the road, they produce zero waste – your old diesel car can’t say the same – and EVs don’t require regular maintenance, such as topping up your engine oil.

Do you commute into a city? Well, we EV drivers are laughing with our free entry into congestion zones, low-emission zones, and clean-air zones! If you are looking for a way to reduce your environmental impact and save on your overall motoring costs, electricity is the way to go!

Fleet Evolution Office, Tamworth

Customer CO2 Savings

One of our customers has saved 1 billion grams of CO2 from their employees’ motoring since putting our scheme in place. This is due to their employees switching their petrol or diesel cars for brand-new electric cars. The average factory produces 2 tons of CO2 a day, so that’s 500 days of emissions offset. Fleet Evolution offer a CO2 Savings Service, where we will calculate the emissions your company has offset by going electric! We also do this for drivers! When you’re requesting a login to our quote engine, put your current vehicle in and we will tell you how much CO2 you’ll save by going electric!
